I started to write seriously after coming to Brown and joining the Brown Daily Herald, the University's independent, student-run daily newspaper. I covered Providence and Rhode Island for two full semesters before I became editor of the City & State section.
While working for the paper, I've had the opportunity to cover a wide range of topics, from Providence's battle against bankruptcy to Rhode Island's legalization of same-sex marriage.
I've loved every minute I've spent writing and want to continue after college
